Start of the creation proccess

The creation of the optic blast - At least the start of it:

So looking at the reference footage of the optic blast, i devised that it can be broken down into 3 seperate parts.

Looking at this i started on the beam itself as that is the main centre pice of the effect so creating that then building off of it was the idea to go with. Looking around for a tutorial that would help, i used one that i have previoulsy mentioned in using for semester 2 when i was practising effects, which helped set up the material compostion i needed with fresenals just being one element of the effect.

I tried creating the ring of the top of the effect, for this i used an omni directinal burst and set the shape to a torus (Donut) and from there i struggled to make the exact weay the reference footage has it but im trying to replicate it as best as possible
