Playing with Plannar
I remember when looking at bigger and longer tutorials that a key way to increase the realism in some effects is to use the panner node in the materials to make the object move either left to right and up or down. so i wanted to explore how I could best use this in my projects so initially tried to have a fiddle with basic textures with it to see how it worked along with the other variants of the panner, such as the rotator. however due to one box not being ticked that i forgot existed the preview screen didn't show it working so thought i had done it wrong, so cue me researching for an hour trying to figure out what went wrong, with every result coming up that I had inputted it correctly, initially leading me to that it was an outdated technique
However a saving grace came in the form of having a nap, as the time away from the project help clear my mind and when i came back, i wasn't initially going to work on it but by coincidence i hadn't closed the project properly and immediately clicked on the issue. The issue you may be asking, is that in the preview tab, real-time viewing wasn't selected so it would only update when interacted with or clicked on.
